Saturday May 7, Somerville & Waltham

The following is the tentative schedule. Times and locations are subject to change.

The massed stand at the Somerville Community Growing Center is part of the Center's annual May Day Celebration, which traditionally includes a May pole dance.

The dancing in Waltham is part of the International Steampunk City Festival, which is happening throughout the weekend.

Sunday May 8, Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Plain

Sunday's tours are at the Arnold Arboretum as part of the park's annual Lilac Sunday picnic/celebration. We dance near the Centre Street Gate, 1110 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA.

Directions

Directions to Natalie's house for the Friday evening get-together were sent by email. If you didn't receive them, please let us know.

Directions to the dance stands and a link to the ale booklet are available.

Meals

The ale will provide lunch on Saturday, and a dinner/feast Saturday evening. Hosts will provide breakfasts for out-of-town guests.

Ale guests will need to bring a picnic lunch on Sunday. Hosts will ensure that out-of-town guests are able to do so.

Cost

Ale costs are as follows:

  • Late Registration: for all registrations received after April 15.
    • Adults (age 21 and over): $55
    • Teenagers (ages 13-20): $35
    • Children (ages 5-12): $15
    • Children under 5: free

À la carte prices are:

  • $30 for ale including one meal if paid after April 15.
  • $10 for ale without any meals (covers the cost of permits, hall rental, etc.)

T-Shirts

The T-shirt order has already been placed. We have ordered some extras (mostly sizes L and XL), which we will sell at the ale on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Weather

In New England, just about any type of weather can happen in May, including beautiful, hot & muggy, rain, or on rare occasions, snow. Check the forecast close to the event and watch this space for details.
